Subject: History

In 2014, the National Assessment of Education Progress reported that history (along with geography and civics) is being largely ignored by schools and teachers, who are instead focusing on reading, math, and science to help improve test scores in those areas (US News and World Report, 2015).  While those areas are also very important to student education, it’s apparent that middle school students are already falling behind in history, a course they will continue to take through high school.  To read more about this issue, click here HIclick
